 DELTA STATE TECHNICAL COLLEGE EMERGES 3RD IN NATIONAL JETS CLUB PROJECTS COMPETITION.

The Delta State Commissioner for Technical Education Mrs Gbugbemi Ikolo has assured students in Technical Colleges across the state of the ministry’s support at all times to enable them become better persons in the society.


Mrs Ikolo gave the assurance when students that represented Delta State at the just concluded National JETS Club Project Competition presented her the third place trophy at her office.


Addressing the students and teachers present, the state commissioner for Technical Education Mrs Gbugbemi Ikolo praised the students for going out to make the ministry and the state proud, adding that machineries are already on to discover students who has the zeal of being more creative and give them all nessary support to enable them succeed.


She appealed to the students to stay focus and brainstorm more on creatingmore projects that will help not just the economy of the state but the nation at large.


Mrs Ikolo further charged teachers in the Technical Colleges to continue their good work on the students, and try to encourage them more to enable them bring out more projects specially with the fact that Delta State will be hosting the 2020 edition of the National JETS Club Project Competition later this year.


Earlier, the Director, Technical Education in the ministry, Mr Ufuoma Idiegbe, said due to the outstanding performance of the students at the JETS Club Project Competition, added to the state Governor Dr ifeanyi Okowa’s move in reviving Technical Education in the state, forced the organizers from the Federal Ministry of Education to award the next hosting rights to Delta State.


He praised the commissioner Mrs Gbugbemi Ikolo for her effort so far, which he said is evident through the Technical College students emerging overall third in the country, giving the ministry it’s first National Trophy after just about six months of the creation of the ministry.


Mr Idiegbe assured that the students will make the ministry and state more proud in the next edition.

The state commissioner for technical education Mrs Gbugbemi Ikolo was then presented the trophy by the students, after which she rewarded them with a cash prize and also directed that JETS Club be immediately established in all Technical Colleges in the state.
