 FIRST PHASE WORK FOR CONSTRUCTION OF MODERN TECHNICAL COLLEGES BEGINS

The first phase of work has started at the approved sites for Modern Technical Colleges in Nine Local Government Areas of Delta State, in line with the promise of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to construct 19 Technical Colleges across the state.
The State Commissioner For Technical Education, Hon (Mrs) Gbubemi Ikolo, disclosed this during her inspection of work at Omadino , Warri South Local Government Area.
The Technical Education Commissioner, Hon (Mrs) Gbubemi Ikolo said the approved sites in the Nine Local Government Areas were being prepared to enable contractors mobilize to site immediately.
She stated that Governor Okowa, who is committed to fulfilling his promises, sees Technical Education as the bedrock that will help the state reduce the rate of unemployment and empower many youths with standard skilled work.
Mrs Ikolo assured that all hands will be on deck in ensuring that the project were executed according to standard and completed by September this year to enable the second phase kickoff.
The former SUBEB first member praised the maturity of the people, especially the youths, for their support since the clearing of the project sites in the communities commenced.
She asked them to sustain their cooperation, especially when the construction work commenced.
