The Chairman Delta state House of Assembly Committee on Education, Hon Charles Emetulu, has praised the State Commissioner of Technical Education, Hon (Mrs) Gbubemi Ikolo, for her and her ministry’s hardwork since the creation of the Ministry by the State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.
Hon Emetulu made this know when the Ministry of Technical Education appealed before the committee for their Budget Defense.
The House Committee Chairman stressed that the presentation by the Technical Education Commissioner, is far the best they have had all day, adding that with just about three months of the creation of the Ministry, they have achieved so much in such a short time.
He stressed that they were not really expecting much from the ministry, knowing its a new ministry that is just 3 months old, but was amazed by all that was presented by the ministry.
Hon Emetulu while advising the Commissioner to carry all her staffs along, also stressed that the importance of Technical Education cannot be overemphasized, and praised the state Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for his steps towards reviving Technical Education across the state.
Earlier, while addressing members of the House Committee on Education, the state commissioner of Technical Education, appreciated the state Governor Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for his move in moving the state inline with the worlds’s trends, adding that with modern Technical Education, the level of unemployment will greatly reduce.
