The Deputy Director Technology and Science Education, Federal Ministry of Education, and National Coordinator JETS Club, Mr Kehinde Osinaike, have praised the state Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for his huge visionary effort in transforming Technical Education in the state.
He said this during an interview at the National JETS Club Competition, held in Lagos, immediately after visiting the stand of students of Delta State Technical Colleges at the Competition.
Mr Kehinde Osinaike who expressed joy at what he saw at the stand of students of Delta State Technical Colleges, said the students have no doubt through their displayed projects shown the huge and successful efforts of the Delta State Government in transforming Technical Education in the state.
He explained that there is also no doubt that the future of the students in Technical Colleges in Delta State is bright, adding that with such knowledge and education, they are will come out to become useful to themselves and their families.
Mr Osinaike who is also the Deputy Director Popularization of Technology and Science, further praised the state Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, for putting in place a program that empowers every students that finishes from Technical College in the state with starter packs, to enable them start up their own business, stressing that it shows the love the Governor has for his people.
He explained that Technical Education remains the only difference between the developed and developing countries, and also the main means of solving the issue of unemployment in the country.
Mr Osinaike also showered praises on Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for creating the Ministry for Technical Education in the state, and also for keeping his promise of constructing Nineteen Technical Colleges across the state, and further charged other state Governor to emulate the good visionary move by him.
The 22nd National JETS Club Competition which is held annually, and competed by different schools from states in the country, saw students from the Delta State Technical Colleges showcasing their projects in both National and Junior category to the amaze of many present.
